Most of foreign banks in India want to concentrate their branch network in few big cities and won't expand beyond 20 odd branches to prevent lending to priority sector & open branches in loss making cities. On the contrary, this load is shouldered by Indian banks. V positive step

Citi will leave indian retail banking. Probably not such a bad thing given how they have behaved over the years. The shady insurance scam pre 2000. The sudden increase of min balance to ,200,000 a few years ago. Etc.
